#TAXI: the easy way to call a cab anywhere in North America
The taxi industry receives over a billion calls per year and this high call volume represents a problem for millions of people in need of a taxi during peak periods. The bottom line is that when you really need a cab, often you can't get one.
If you don’t know the name of a local taxi company, even “411” won't be of much help and frequent taxi users who have a favourite local cab company often run into busy signals during the times they need a taxi most. When they hit a busy signal, they're no closer to getting a taxi than before their call to 411.
CellWand was the first company to recognize the opportunity for an intelligent mobile phone directory service, and #TAXI was born.
How it works
Cellular phone users dial #TAXI (#-8-2-9-4) on a CellWand customer’s network, and are able to connect to any local cab company of choice, or simply request the first available taxicab.
CellWand’s proprietary search tool then finds callers the first available taxicab. This search matrix is based on the caller's location, and CellWand's detailed profiles of all local taxi companies, which includes their legislated area of service, area of specialization, fleet size and overall quality of service. This information is then used in conjunction with the call volume to all of these local cab companies at the time of the call in order to connect the caller to the right taxi company.

Calling #TAXI (Pound Taxi)™ will generate a one-time charge of between
$1.29 and $1.79 per call, depending on your wireless carrier, plus any applicable airtime and data charges to connect you to the first available taxi company dispatch or your preferred one and you will be billed to your wireless bill or have the charge deducted from your prepaid balance.
Calling #TAXI will help avoid busy signals when callers are trying to call a taxi's dispatch but #TAXI makes no warrant or representation that it will help callers avoid a busy carrier network line at times when no calls can be dialled on any of the respective carriers' networks.

#TAXI (Pound Taxi) is a telecommunications service operated by CellWand Communications Inc.
#TAXI is offered to you conditioned on your acceptance without modification of the terms, conditions, and notices contained herein. Your use of #TAXI constitutes your agreement to all such terms, conditions, and notices.
MODIFICATION OF THESE TERMS OF USE
CellWand Communications Inc. reserves the right to change the terms, conditions, and notices under which #TAXI is offered, including but not limited to the charges associated with the use of the service.
NO UNLAWFUL OR PROHIBITED USE
As a condition of your use of #TAXI, you warrant to CellWand Communications Inc. that you will not use #TAXI for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms, conditions, and notices. You may not use #TAXI in any manner which could damage, disable, overburden, or impair #TAXI or interfere with any other party's use and enjoyment of #TAXI. You may not obtain or attempt to obtain any materials or information through any means not intentionally made available or provided for through #TAXI.
USE OF TEXT MESSAGES
#TAXI may or may not send a SMS message to Users of the service.
CellWand Communications Inc. reserves the right at all times to disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, or to edit, refuse to post or to remove any information or materials, in whole or in part, in CellWand Communications Inc.'s sole discretion.

TERMINATION/ACCESS RESTRICTION
CellWand Communications Inc. reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate your access to #TAXI and the related services or any portion thereof at any time, without notice. Use of #TAXI is unauthorized in any jurisdiction that does not give effect to all provisions of these terms and conditions, including without limitation this paragraph. You agree that no joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship exists between you and CellWand Communications Inc. as a result of this agreement or use of #TAXI. CellWand Communications Inc.'s performance of this agreement is subject to existing laws and legal process, and nothing contained in this agreement is in derogation of CellWand Communications Inc.'s right to comply with governmental, court and law enforcement requests or requirements relating to your use of #TAXI or information provided to or gathered by CellWand Communications Inc. with respect to such use. If any part of this agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law including, but not limited to, the warranty disclaimers and liability limitations set forth above, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and the remainder of the agreement shall continue in effect. Unless otherwise specified herein, this agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the user and CellWand Communications Inc. with respect to #TAXI and it supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral or written, between the user and CellWand Communications Inc. with respect to #TAXI. A printed version of this agreement and of any notice given in electronic form shall be admissible in judicial or administrative proceedings based upon or relating to this agreement to the same extent an d subject to the same conditions as other business documents and records originally generated and maintained in printed form. It is the express wish to the parties that this agreement and all related documents be drawn up in English.
